Marilyn came with the house and without any instructions. The new owner did her best to care for the four pigs. Four years later when the house was again sold, only Marilyn remained alive.
Marilyn has weathered many storms. She was born with atropic rhinitis, a disease which severely
deformed her sinuses. The inside of her mouth does not work well and she has to lap her wetted
food with her tongue – much like cat. Her tongue always hangs out and has to be kept moist. When
we went to pick her up from Richmond, she had well over 300 ticks on her and was so fat that she
could not see.
Now Marilyn has lost weight and is the talk of the town at Gallastar. Marilyn has never met a
stranger and is much loved.
Sponsorship of this unique and wonderful animal is only twenty-five
dollars and nothing would please her more than to have visitors to rub her big belly and tell her
how beautiful she is. Marilyn truly has a heart of gold.
