Silver

Silver was found running loose in a neighborhood in Shipman, Virginia and was terrified as animal control caught him with a “catch pole”. He was taken to the county dog pound where he waited for three weeks for someone one to come and save him. The floor was designed with a very slippery surface and Silver could not stand up, causing him multiple physical problems.

All of those weeks of listening to the deafening sound of the howling and barking of lonely, heartbroken dogs made a deep impression. It's possible he even shared his slippery cell with a dog or two during his stay. Silver is the only pig that we have that actively stalks and attacks dogs. He now sleeps in the kitchen at night and has many pig friends. A sponsorship will assure that we can help other pigs that find themselves in the same terrible circumstances.
